Job description

We are looking for a research analyst to strengthen our Eastern European team. The primary responsibility of the analyst will be to provide support for senior investment managers on equities in emerging markets across South Eastern European markets with a focus on Turkey, Greece, Romania and other neighboring markets. The ideal candidate will have a background in emerging/ frontier markets and knowledge of how different businesses operate, fundamental analysis, financial modelling and equity valuation. The analyst will be based in Stockholm (or alternatively Moscow).

Essential responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Research across markets and industries with focus on individual stocks, but also keeping on top of macro, political and growth drivers
  • Fundamental analysis of individual companies by following company financials, interacting with management teams and building own models
  • ESG analysis of companies and execute engagements if need be
  • Monitoring current holdings and making recommendations on new companies to the investment committee
  • Travelling across the region for 1-1 company meetings, conferences and other relevant events
  • Supporting the team by contributing to and updating relevant internal and external presentations

Qualifications / skills

  • Masters or equivalent degree in relevant fields of study
  • Minimum 2-4 years of fundamental equity research experience on the buy/sell side
  • Experience in relevant regional markets
  • CFA designation is strongly preferred, but not a must
  • Regional language skills is a plus, in addition to fluent English
  • Excellent communication and cooperative skills
  • ESG mindset
  • Outstanding analytical skills with a strong quant background
  • Bloomberg, Excel proficiency
